History
Revival Tabernacle church opened its doors for the first time in 1994. With a passion and a burden for the inner-city Metro Detroit area, Pastor Tim Dilena planted a church in Highland Park, a city that is literally surrounded by the city of Detroit. To house their services, Revival Tabernacle purchased a XXX theater on Woodward Avenue, the main street and gateway to the city.
Now, over a decade into its ministry, Revival is a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, international house of worship. Guests at Revival experience a powerful move of God from the moment they enter the building. From a wonderful greeting by our friendly ushers and greeters, to a dynamic time of worship and preaching, we strive to communicate the Gospel in deed, song, and word… with Excellence!
From the moment we opened our doors, over a decade ago, we have made a commitment to ministering the love of Christ to the city of Highland Park. Revival also places a great focus on missions abroad. With monthly financial commitments from members, we have made the support of missionaries, and missionary efforts a part of our very foundation as a ministry.
Vision
Revival Tabernacle’s vision is to see people saved, healed, set free, discipled, equipped and empowered for ministry service for God and His kingdom.
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
Luke 4:18–19
Purpose
Revival Tabernacle’s purpose is to CONNECT people to God, help each believer GROW in community with eachother, and to identify and equip each individual to SERVE in order to REACH those who are lost in this generation.
