2 Timothy 1:5-6 (NIV)
5 I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also.
6 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
Many of our youth have parents that are pouring into them spiritually. For some, it may not be a biological parent, but a man or woman of God pouring into their life. We want to create a ministry culture where our youth are constantly reminded and encouraged to fan into flame that which has been deposited in them… that they would be on fire for God, and Ignite their world around them.
Proverbs 22:6 tells us that when developing our children, the focus need not be what they should avoid, but what they should pursue. It is this kind of training that scripture ensures us will put our children on an unbreakable path.
During the 7 years that our youth are with us (6th – 12th grade), we focus solely on the core developmental topics listed below. Though our sermons series will change regularly, they are always based on one of the core topics. These series, paired with age appropriate small group discussions on the same topic on Sunday nights help us maintain proper focus in training our youth in the way they should go.
