"Reach Sinners. Raise Believers. Release Leaders"
Our History
Revival Tabernacle church opened its doors for the first time in 1990, under the leadership of the founding pastor, Tim Dilena. The church purchased and renovated a XXX theatre in Highland Park on Woodward Avenue, the main street and gateway to the city of Detroit.
In 2003, with a generous financial gift from Pastor David Wilkerson of Times Square Church, Revival Tabernacle expanded its property with the addition of the RevivalTab Ministry Center. This expansion, which included a full-size gymnasium, commercial kitchen, new offices, and Children’s Ministry floor, allowed for further outreach to the community.
For 20 years, Pastor Tim and his wife Cindy pastored with a passion and burden to preach the Word of God in the city of Detroit and throughout the world. The reach and impact of their ministry still contributes value to the foundation of our church.
In 2010, Pastor Tim Dilena accepted an invitation to join the staff of the Brooklyn Tabernacle Church. His executive pastor, Kevin Ramsby was selected to be the second pastor in Revival Tabernacle’s history. Pastor Ramsby and his wife Sarah led the church in serving and setting an unprecedented example of living a life of forgiveness. In 2015, Pastor Kevin stepped down from his position as Senior Pastor. The church leadership selected Pastor Devin and Cortney Gough to lead Revival Tabernacle and continue the mission to serve the community of Highland Park.
Revival Tabernacle is a growing multi-cultural church family that continues to prioritize the Word, worship and the work of reaching those who are far from God!
