Day 2: Coexistence of Joy and Suffering

Suffering does not exclude joy; rather, they can coexist. The presence of joy in the midst of trials is a testament to the hope and promises of God, which are not limited by our current afflictions.

1 Peter 1:6-7 - "In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed."

Reflection: Can you recall a time when you experienced joy during a difficult period? What helped you to maintain that joy?
